Badhai Ho - A rebellious tale
We all have heard of arguments about how ladies get older after age 40. This film actually tells us they can give birth to babies at that age - until and unless it gets biologically impossible for her. Not that they lack emotional strength for that or anything. This is a great satirical picture of the Indian Society. We are ashamed of our shortcomings because of what will people say. Let me get that straight for you. They'll say mean things. They'll hit on your insecurities. They will try to discourage you. They will not bear open thinking in their narrow minds. Aayushman Khurana in a scene says, "Yes, aunty! I'm not a good person. I'm bad actually. I can not have the back of my parents when they need me most." For context, this is a story in which his mother gets pregnant in her 40s. They find this embarrassing.
